Meet Coach Anna: Finding Strength, Freedom, and Joy in Movement

If there’s anyone who knows what it means to rebuild strength, confidence, and self-trust through movement, it’s Coach Anna.

Coach Anna

Originally from a small town in Alabama, Anna’s life has taken her all over the world — from California to Vietnam, where she’s lived for the past seven years.

She recently married her husband, Matthew, a British teacher who grew up in the Bahamas. Together, they share a home filled with love, laughter, and their four cats.

When she’s not coaching or cuddling her cats, Anna spends her time in motion. She’s an aerialist who specializes in straps, though she’s also skilled with silks and sling. She practices Pilates and calisthenics regularly, loves going for long walks, and balances all that energy with time spent reading and traveling.

From Chronic Pain to Empowered Movement 💪

In her 20s, she began experiencing chronic pain that led to diagnoses of autoimmune disease, joint hypermobility syndrome, and fibromyalgia. She was prescribed multiple medications but wasn’t getting better. Eventually, she realized that something had to change.

“When I hit my 30s, I decided maybe I should start caring more about health and fitness,” she says.

At first, she turned to every diet she could find — keto, Whole30, paleo — chasing results that never truly made her feel good. Then, everything shifted when she discovered Pilates and barre. For the first time, movement wasn’t about punishment or aesthetics; it was about joy and possibility.

Through consistent practice and mindful nutrition, Anna gradually reclaimed her health. She was able to stop most of her medications, build strength, and prove to herself that she wasn’t “broken” after all.

Today, she’s thriving — strong, flexible, and free.

Coaching With Heart

Anna brings ten years of experience to her coaching, but it’s her warmth and empathy that clients remember most. Her approach is supportive and encouraging, especially for women in their 30s and 40s who are navigating medical conditions or recovering from past injuries.

“I want to help women discover the freedom that I found when I finally started taking care of myself and viewing my body for what it can do — not just how it looks.”

Her sessions are about more than workouts and meal plans. They’re about rebuilding self-worth, replacing shame with self-love, and helping women rediscover the joy of movement.

Anna’s biggest lesson? That fear can hold us back far more than our physical limits — and that confidence comes from letting go and trying anyway.
