Fitt Cottage Cheese Mashed Potatoes

Mashed potatoes are a holiday classic! This version keeps all the cozy, creamy comfort you love while adding a protein boost that makes the dish more filling and a little more Fitt-friendly. No one will even notice the swap — they’ll just ask for seconds. Servings: 6

Time: 25 minutes

Ingredients

  • 2 lbs potatoes, peeled and cubed

  • 1 cup cottage cheese

  • 2 tbsp butter

  • ¼–½ cup milk or broth

  • ½ tsp garlic powder

  • Salt + pepper to taste

  • Chives (optional)

Instructions

  1. Boil potatoes until soft.

  2. Blend cottage cheese in a blender until smooth.

  3. Mash the potatoes with butter and garlic powder.

  4. Stir in the blended cottage cheese.

  5. Add milk/broth until you reach your desired texture.

  6. Season and top with chives.
